Dress for Six-Figure Success

You ever get the feeling that people just don’t care anymore?
Shabby chic, bummy, casual seem to be the fashion trends of the day. I’m asking myself “Where did upscale, classic, professional, and businesslike go?”
Recruiters today are still looking for candidates who understand what it is to look and act like a businessperson. If you are into some extreme fashion trend, you are sure to stick out in a bad way.
If you are a six-figure professional, ensure that you dress for success. Show potential employers that you are just as polished as your resume.
Dress Professionally – Dress for the next level “up” from the position for which you are applying.- Dress Conservatively – Avoid being too trendy; extra flair can detract from the core goal of the meeting.
- Go for Comfort – You don’t want to be fidgeting and adjusting throughout your interview.

Good advice Sharon,
I would add that job seekers shouldn’t limit “dress for success” principles to the interview. Every person they meet, whether networking, shopping, or out on the town, could be the lead to your next great job. Consider every personal encounter an interview, and dress for success as a regular habit.
